About

Sensory Planting

Robert has a unique style in his designs for School Trim Trails, whereby he incorporates all the Activity Items in a wealth of exciting Planting, including Palm Trees, Bamboos and flowering evergreen shrubs; wherever possible, he also arranges the planting (often by the children) of well known British Wildflowers.

Robert’s desire with his “Green Trim Trail Areas” is not only to encourage the children towards healthy exercise but also to create in them, an awareness of the beauty and the benefits of living and playing whilst surrounded by plants.

Robert believes in perpetuating Traditional British Crafts and Traditional Carpentry methods; all his Trim Trail structures are hand crafted on site by his extremely devoted and skilful team of Master Craftsmen.

The layouts of his Trim Trails are in a random pattern and do not follow straight lines. Robert has found that children become bored quite quickly with the standard types of Trim Trails. He has noted that children are more active and use the equipment to a far greater extent if the Trim Trail items are spread out unevenly within the designated area and have plenty of greenery around them.

Natural Style

He has found that in this Natural style of Trim Trail, children are far more Imaginative in their play and more creative in their games. They invariably create new circuits and new routes to follow.

This style of Trim Trail also induces a far greater competitive spirit amongst the children, as well as very high inter-active behaviour. This produces much stronger relationships between the children who invariably come from many diverse backgrounds.

The company works throughout the UK and has recently expanded into both European and Mediterranean countries.

Chillax Gardens

Children invariably run out of breath and need to relax in calmer surroundings. Robert always endeavours to include a Quiet Garden or a Sensory Garden.

Quiet Gardens
For many years I have wanted a physical exercise area for the children but I did not want a typical Trim Trail. When Robert arrived it was like a breath of fresh air! He exuded confidence and listened attentively to our wishes. One week later his team arrived and within two weeks they transformed our barren playground area into an amazing activity garden for our under 8's complete with amazing palm trees.
